Freeze drying is often used for preserving food, pharmaceuticals and other perishable materials.
Freeze drying works by removing moisture (water) from your breast milk while in its frozen state. Your milk is placed individually into a chamber, where it then lowers the pressure and add heats, causing frozen water to turn directly into vapour. This process is known as sublimation.
The vapour is then collected on a cold surface, where it turns back into ice and is removed from the chamber. What is left behind is a dry, preserved powder which retains the nutritive components of your breast milk, with a shelf life of 3 years.
A 100% natural process, where your breast milk is processed as-is, without any addition of chemicals, additives or preservatives.
